Best selling author and controversial radio personality, Charlamagne Tha God, has put himself in hot water again. In the midst of sexual allegations, an interview has surfaced where Charlamagne Tha God seemingly admits to ‘raping’ his wife (pictured below) before they were married.

Charlamagne Tha God Admits to Raping His Wife The First Time They Had Sex:

Radio and television personality, Charlamagne Tha God, sometimes rubs people the wrong way. As one of the three members of the highly popular syndicated weekday morning radio show,” The Breakfast Club,” Charlamagne is known for having no filter and publicly speaking his mind. He has a reputation for calling people to the front of the congregation with his ‘Donkey of The Day’ segment, where the MTV personality exposes people for foolery. Well, it seems like he is in the hot seat now, as an old interview has surfaced, which places him in a negative light, according to some fans.

Not too long ago, rape allegations from a woman who claimed she believes that Charlamagne raped her when she was 15 and he was 22 have come to light. However, the D.A. dismissed her case in 2001 and The Blast reported that ‘in the eyes of the court, Charlamagne is “innocent of the dismissed allegation.”’ Charlamgane has also vehemently denied the claims and has continued to keep his job on “The Breakfast Club.” Many people have spoken out in defense of Charlamagne, including CNN host, Angela Rye, who maintained that her “brother is no rapist or molester.” Rye was asked to comment on the allegations by one of her social media followers.

Here’s What Angela Rye Had To Say About Charlamagne Tha God:

Since you opted to post about TWO different incidents and described neither of them accurately on my Jesus conference post, sure. My BROTHER is neither a molester nor a rapist. He never drugged anyone. He never touched the girl,” she wrote. “Read more about the incident from 2001 in his book Black Privilege and note that he regrets having a party where underaged folks where [sic] drinking when he was young and dumb (that’s the ONLY thing he pled to…why? Because there was no physical evidence connecting him to the girl. Why? Because he never touched her. I truly pray for her piece of mind. Truly. However, she will not ‘come up’ on my brother off a lie. I stand for truth before I stand for anything else. God bless you and your family

Now, an interview about his first sexual encounter with his wife has resurfaced and some say that the interview speaks to rapist behavior.

The “Starr Report” posted the audio interview on Twitter last week, where Charlamagne Tha God, whose real name is Lenard McKelvey, admits to raping his wife, Jessica Gadsden, before they got married.

‘I keep telling’ y’all. I’ve told y’all this over and over. It’s a lot of things guys did especially when we were young that were rape that we just didn’t consider rape. I’m married to my wife. Me and my wife dated for a whole year, she would not give me no p*ssy. Me and my wife hung out one Saturday night and she got sloppy drunk and passed out in my momma’s house and I got that p*ssy. She was f*cking me back and all that, but she was really drunk. I asked her yesterday, ‘Yo, did I rape you the first time we ever had sex?’ And she goes, ‘I mean in hindsight, yeah…’

Charlamagne and his wife have been together since their teen years and he’s been known to speak very candidly about their relationship. Most of his listeners are accustomed to his harsh, brutally honest discussions about everything, including his personal life. So his “rape” wording, regarding the love of his life, may not catch many of his listeners off guard, but it’s shocking to many others, who aren’t as familiar with Charlamagne’s sometimes overly blunt style of communication and understandably so. Now, that doesn’t excuse his loose reference toward “rape,” but it kinda helps put things into perspective, when it comes to his statement.

Charlamagne  Tha God Denies Rape Allegations:

According to TMZCharlamgane Tha God has retained Marty Singer and Michael Weinstein after the accuser came forward about the alleged encounter, stating she wants “closure.” In a statement to TMZ, Singer and Weinstein say their client is empathetic towards rape victims, but is innocent of the accusations leveled against him:

More than seventeen years ago, Charlamagne was accused of a sexual assault. He never had sexual relations or any physical contact with the accuser and even provided DNA to prove it. At the time of these claims, Charlamagne cooperated fully with authorities, and after the investigation, this charge against him was dropped. Charlamagne has spoken about this many times over the years in public, including in his book. While Charlamagne has empathy for all sexual assault victims, he cannot take responsibility for a crime he did not commit.
