This dad wants to give his daughter everything, including the right choices. But, he can’t make her decisions for her. So, he gives her this instead.
THIBODAUX, LOUISIANA — If there’s one thing you don’t do, you don’t mess with daddy’s little girl. And, this father is making sure his daughter remembers that lesson in her future decisions.
Dionjhae Thomas recently graduated from Houma Christian High School, in Thibodaux. According to Houma Today, Thomas’ graduating class made history as the “most energetic.”
She only became more energetic when she met with her family after the ceremony.
She’s all starry-eyed…
So, according to Monique Stepter, her dad had a serious gift for her as a graduation present.
As they stood somewhat to themselves, he asked for her hand — specifically her left hand.
After taking her ring finger, he placed a reminder on her hand.
Stepter mentions as follows.
“Her Father presented her with a promise ring for graduation and told her not to take it off until the right man comes along and replace it for her wedding ring.”
Here’s a close-up of her ring.

So, what’s love without hate?…
You knew it was coming, right?
Yeah. Thomas has already had to help quiet the haters. The majority of them say the dad should’ve focused on her abstaining from sex until marriage.
So, while visiting Florida, Thomas thought to address this situation before it’d get out of control.
“On graduation night my dad gave me a promise ring saying never to take off my ring until the right man comes along and replace it. SOME of y’all talking about he’s making personal decisions about me having sex and blah blah, but where in the video he ever said anything about sex[?] My dad wants me to make the right decisions in life but he never said not to have sex before marriage. He never brought up sex period so y’all need to get y’all facts right. My dad loves me and I’m his little girl and it’s a special gift to me.”
Remember, she attended a Christian high school.
So, the majority of these commentators rising against her are of Christian background.
Always gotta find “fault” somewhere. Smh.
But maybe these “concerned” individuals would have done better to listen to Thomas’ commencement speaker, Josh Melancon, pastor of House of Prayer in Thibodaux. According to Houma Today, he states as follows.
“I always thought that Joseph had a lot of transitions of identity before he found the one God had planned for him, and I wanted these kids to know that they’re going to go through a lot of transitions, but that God has a specific plan for their lives.”
But of course, these commentators are without sin, right?
