Marques Houston Gets Engaged To Stunning Girlfriend Miya

A huge congratulations goes out to Marques Houston! The 37-year-old actor/singer is engaged.

The child star announced that he and his girlfriend Miya will be getting married in a series of Instagram posts: “She said ‘YES’: … My fiancé,” he wrote. The former Immature singer shared pictures of himself and Miya on the beach.

Houston is best known for playing the lovable Roger Evans on sitcom Sister, Sister. He’s also been seen on shows Cuts, One on One and A Different World.

In pictures he posted for his 1 million followers, Houston is seen holding hands with Miya, who was wearing her diamond engagement ring. On her page, Miya left a touching post declaring her love and devotion to Houston.

“Today I said “yes” to my Bestfriend,” she wrote. “I said yes to a new beginning. I said yes to my spiritual head. I said yes to loving you forever and forever baby. I am so blessed to have you and to be yours FOREVER.”

“These past months have been the best months of my life. I wouldn’t have wanted to spend them with anyone else or any other way,” she continued. Miya also alluded to their shared faith as Jehovah’s Witnesses, by writing: “I love you so much and I promise to always be the best for Jehovah and for you.”

The bride to be finished by saying, “You deserve the best and it’s my goal to give you that … I cant wait to marry you. Your fiancé.” Houston and Miya began dating on Oct. 8, 2018, according to her Instagram bio. Houston became a Jehovah’s Witness in 2016.

After finishing his role on the Sister Sister, alongside twins Tia and Tamera Mowry in 1999, Houston embarked on a music career. He found success in R&B group Immature (also known as IMx) with hits such as “Never Lie” and “Feel The Funk.” He later found success as a solo performer with songs such as “Clubbin'”

Houston currently serves as the CEO of Footage Films, a California-based production company, and has worked as a writer and producer on multiple films. He was previously in a relationship with his You Got Served co-star Jennifer Freeman.
