It’s been over three months since model Kim Porter tragically passed away. Her former partner and father to her three kids, Diddy, posted a throwback photo of the pair on Instagram on Sunday. The snap shows the rapper and the stunning model cuddled up on a couch. Kim is seen lovingly wrapping her arms around her rap mogul beau.

“SMH,” Diddy, 49, captioned the photo. He added a broken heart symbol next to the sad message. But despite the heartbreaking post, a fan decided it was appropriate to make a rude comment. The Instagram user wrote, “When she was alive and you didn’t want to marry her. Confused n****. GTFOH.”

But instead of cussing out the troll, Diddy expressed his regret for never marrying Kim. The “Bad Boy” rapper wrote, “I know. Played myself smh.” Kim’s death in mid-November of last year came as a huge shock to the entertainment industry.

The model was found unresponsive in her home, with the cause later explained as a result of pneumonia. Hundreds of mourners came to say their last goodbyes to Kim at her funeral, including Winnie Harlow and Mary J Blige. Diddy was seen being visibly distraught at the memorial as he remembered his on again, off again girlfriend. The pair’s relationship, while rocky, lasted for over a decade.

In 2007, the duo called their longtime love off, but remained close and in touch. Together, Kim and Sean had three children, son Christian and twins D’Lila Star and Jessie James. She also had son Quincy from a previous relationship with singer Al. B. Sure.

Porter told Essence in a 2009 interview. “You know how when two people go their separate ways, most of the time there’s animosity? It’s not like that with us. Sean and I have this bond, this friendship. It’s not about ‘if you’re faithful to me, if I’m being faithful to you. We’re friends. I’m the person he can tell his inner most thoughts to and he’s that person for me.”

Porter was found dead in her Toluca Lake home on November 18, 2018. She was 47 years old. Beyond her modeling career, Porter made several film and television appearances over the years, including roles in The Brothers and the TV series Wicked Wicked Game.
