Wedding photos have surfaced of Shamea Morton, from the Real Housewives of Atlanta, marrying her Kenyan fiancé, Gerald Mwangi. Shamea Morton is an actress and singer, who currently works as the Atlanta Hawks in-game host as well as a radio personality for a local station. She was mostly seen on the RHOA as the best friend of Porsha Williams but rumor has it that she will be holding a peach for the newest season of the show. Shamea Morton tied the knot with her African prince in a ceremony in Kenya on July 22nd.
Shamea and her husband, Gerald, who is originally from Kenya, held their wedding in a church in Nairobi and their reception was held at Fairmount Kenya Safari Club in Nanyuki, Kenya. Shamea and Gerald’s gray and peach destination wedding was attended by celebrity guests such as Tiny, Shekinah, and Real Housewives co-stars Kandi and Todd Tucker. While Porsha Williams attended Shamea’s traditional dowry ceremony prior to their nuptials, it appears that she was not at the wedding.
The beautiful bride was dressed in a mermaid wedding gown with an illusion neckline for the church ceremony as she changed for the reception into two evening gowns. Some of her guests shared beautiful moments from the wedding.

Some of the highlights from the wedding included Shamea dancing with her father. During the daddy daughter dance, the Georgia peach serenaded her dad as they danced to Beyoncé’s song, Daddy. One of the biggest highlights from the wedding was when Morton changed into an African peplum top and black hot pants to perform an African dance for her king. Accompanied by 2 other dancers with her friends cheering her on, Shamea performed a dance to West African music. She even wowed the crowd when she did the splits and spread her legs widely in front of her man. The crowd got a kick out of it and she almost exposed her goodies while she was dancing.

The RHOA couple has been together for more than three years before tying the knot as she explained in an interview with The Daily Dish in April. She spoke about how lucky she is to have found her prince calling her husband a “godsend”.
He is amazing. He is definitely Godsend. And they say you got to kiss a couple of frogs before you get your Prince Charming, and that is definitely what he is. I think about where I was five years ago even, and I think about where I am now, and all I can say is, ‘God, he is so good, and he is so merciful, and he is so understanding, and he is so patient and forgiving.’ And it’s nothing but his work that brought us together.
Despite the fact that the wedding took place in Africa, the couple plan to make a home in Atlanta. Morton shared with Bravo that her husband came to America when he was 18 for an education. He considers Atlanta as his home as Shamea does too.
He and his siblings came to the States for college. So he’s been in the States right before his 18th birthday, and he’s like, ‘No, I never want to leave Atlanta,’ Shamea said to Bravo. That’s where all my family is, and he has all his friends here, and we just have a really great life in Atlanta. That’s where we want to raise our kids, and this is home for us.
Congrats to the happy couple!
